CENTURION-LIKE
FAITH
“When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and
said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with
such great faith.” MATTHEW 8:10
This centurion
was not a product of great spiritual training. He was not a Bible scholar nor
did he come from a family with a long line of believers. He had simply heard about Jesus, the things
He was doing and the things he was saying. It was that simple. That was enough for him.
Want to try your
hand at ‘gardening’; something more than just cutting grass and spraying weeds? Visit with friends who enjoy gardening and
are “believers” in gardening. Ask lots
of questions. Listen to what they say is
happening in their lives and their gardens.
Then ask yourself, “What have you heard and what do you believe?” Start simple. Keep records and take lots of
pictures! The greatest of gardens start with the simplest of plantings. You
plant the seeds, God makes them grow.
“You are today where
your thoughts have brought you; you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take
you.” James Allen
