DREAM STEALERS
Let us not grow weary
in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give
up. GALATIANS 6:9
There are days
when you want to just sit down, rest and let it all go! There’s too much weeding for the benefits of that
bed. The seeds you planted didn’t
germinate. The transplants aren’t
looking good. You know in your minds eye and down deep in your heart that this
garden can produce an abundance of flowers, beautiful foliage and veggies for
sharing. There’s work that needs to be done in the house; errands to be run;
people to call. On and on come the thieves that will steal your dreams.
Life, too, has
dream stealers. Dream stealers live in the house with you; within your extended
family and friends and work. You know that
sometimes your spouse or your child sees your life as a testimony of your faith
and yet they do not “get it”. Remember
that it takes time to grow a garden and it may take time to allow those that
are unsaved to “see the light”. Make
sure your light is shining brightly all the time for there are many who are in
the darkness looking for something they will later call hope.
Neither do people
light a lamp and put in under a bowl.
Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the
house. MATTHEW 5:15
